Ipswich Town Purchased
Suffolk club bought by investor Jimmy Walters.
English investor Jimmy Walters has announced the purchase of Ipswich Town Football Club. Walters is a lifelong supporter of the club and said in a press conference, his life goal was to make millions and buy Ipswich.
"I was born in Ipswich, lived there until I was 15 before moving to London but I always followed Ipswich. I supported Arsenal while living in London and I'm fond of them but Ipswich is the club that has my heart. I've loved them for years. I still remember Terry Butcher playing for the club when I was little. My dad is a season ticket holder and I always go with him when I can and after making smart investment, I planned a takeover of the club, I've known Marcus Evans for a while and I'm delighted that he accepted my offer to buy the club, the club have top players and a Premier League quality manager in Mick McCarthy, him and Terry Connor will be at the helm while I'm here and I will inject funds into the club to clear debt and give Mick a good transfer budget."

I am disappointed with such a poor run of three games
conceding eleven goals. I am also unhappy with our defeat in the Capital One cup but I am willing to forget about it and at least we will have less fixtures to worry about. Mick came to me and asked me to find a suitable defender to help us stop conceding so I am currently scouting the free agent market due to the transfer deadline closing and I think I have found a man. Regarding Mick's job security, it's stable for now.

After last month, I am delighted with our turnaround in results. I have decided not to pursue free agents due to the team bonding and I don't feel it appropriate to bring in new faces until January, plus Mick McCarthy made it clear he didn't want Titus Bramble. Regardless, the defence pulled together as a unit and are keeping clean sheets at last. Also the performances of Scott Loach and Jonathan Walters are standing out. Jonathan is proving to be a great buy and I expect him to be the Championship top-scorer.

October 2013
Derby County 0-1 Ipswich Town
(Jonathan Walters, 9)

Sheffield Wednesday 1-2 Ipswich Town
(Jamie Vardy, 50, Magaye Gueye, 73)

Ipswich Town 3-2 Burnley
(Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, 20, 59, Emmanuel Ledesma, 87)

Bolton 2-3
Ipswich Town
(Jamie Vardy, 7, pen 14, Jonathan Walters, 36)

A resurgence in form sees us second in the league behind Watford but the gap between first and sixth is only a few points. We could lose our place at the top if we slip up but Mick McCarthy has done a great job and has shown his skills. Sylvan has got his first goals and I think this could be the start of some serious form. We have great strikers in Sylvan, Jonathan and Jamie and the three are all chipping in their fair share of goals. Mick's job is secure after improving from the bad patch earlier in the season.

November 2013
Ipswich 1-2 Barnsley
(Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, 71)

Blackpool 2-3 Ipswich
(Jonathan Walters 1, 70, Sylvan Ebanks Blake 18)

Ipswich 2-0 Leicester
(Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, 44, Daniel Johnson, 86)

Charlton 0-1 Ipswich
(Christophe Berra, 45)

Ipswich 1-1 Blackburn
(Dan Harding, 21)

Ipswich 0-0 Huddersfield

We end November in second place on goal difference after a pickup in form, most notably Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is scoring goals for fun! He deserves a new bumper contract, Mick is sorting that out. Watford lead the table but I feel we will win the league!

It's become apparent that nobody is interested in this so I will be putting it on hold. I am enjoying this but I'm not going to waste my time and post something if nobody is interested. This will come back only by popular demand. Vote to decide the fate of the story.

You have only been up and running for a couple of hours.
I don't really understand this chairman mode... Are you not managing but only chairman - or what's the deal?

With the FM in game editor, you can terminate the manager's contract, extend and shorten player contracts, move players and I added money into Ipswich's account. As chairman in the game, if Ipswich have a poor run of games, I terminate Mick McCarthy's contract. Bringing in a manager, I can't do that but usually a good manager comes in.

Read the comment above, and I have no interest in stopping this story, I just wanted to get some other people commenting and my mission is complete, one or two more posts before I change the posting format

December 2013
The whole team are doing well at the moment and with a few extra wins under our belt, why can't we win the Championship?
- Mick McCarthy

Nottingham Forest 0-2
Ipswich Town
(Jamie Vardy, pen 22, Jonathan Walters, 50)

Ipswich Town
2-2Watford
(Jamie Vardy, 24, 78)

Doncaster
1-1 Ipswich Town
(Jonathan Walters, 83)

The two draws have come at a bad time and given Watford some breathing space at the top but it's a few points and I'm sure Mick will inspire the team to some wins in January.

Ipswich Made The Playoffs!
It took them long enough!
We last updated you in December 2013, but I have decided to give you updates every six months. As you can see, it was a weird season. Bournemouth have done the double promotion but I can't see them surviving in the Premier League. Watford deservedly won the Championship being on top for a while. Leicester were relegated which stunned me to be frank, Charlton and Yeovil were unsurprisingly in the bottom three after fairly poor seasons but I am stunned not to see Wigan in the top ten. Mick McCarthy and Terry Connor are still here and the playoffs will decide their future.

What Would You Like Me To Do?
In this save, I have been offered the West Ham job, they have been relegated and I'd like to take over and get them up. Here are the two options:
Stop Interfering With Ipswich and take over West Ham
Turn Down West Ham and Continue Owning Ipswich.

I like the Look of Chairman Types of stories Might have a go myself
