[Challenge] The Creation of a Perfect Tactic

First of all, this is my first thread here so I hope I'm not breaking any rules and let me say hello to you all, hehe. Now, let's go.

The perfect tactic? What? Are you crazy or something? Yes, I know there's no such things as a perfect tactic, or even perfection. The creation of the perfect isn't the purpose behind this thread, but various "perfect" tactics.


So, the idea would be this: every week/two weeks/month - your choice, but I think it's better to be a month -, I or a moderator would post here a formation and a team, for example: Manchester United and 4-4-2 and we, as a healthy community, will discuss how to play a 4-4-2 with the team Man Utd has for this season. Counter-attacking, attacking, defensive, fluid, agressive, whatever.

Everyone could try with their own saves with their proposal and then post the results here and the best one would have his tactic in the download page and a feature at the top of the forum or the thread something like that (that's not really my choice hehe), but I leave that to the moderators team. Others could just stay here and help, suggest stuff to other managers, etc. Whatever you want.


So, what do you think of this idea? I think it's a very good thread for people who are as enthusiastic as me about football and tactics in general. Let me know what you think!

The First Challenge

My proposal for the first challenge would be playing Chelsea with a 4-2-3-1. It may have any form and by that I mean assymetric or not or any other you would like as long as it mantains itself as a 4-2-3-1.

2) some tacticians are very moody and aggressive when their tactics they make (only work with Barca) and it gets caught out for being average.. its happened before and its not pretty alot of abuse gets thrown around for no reason!

3) I understand what you want to do, however, as my point above, it gets out of hand
4) for something similar, I suggest looking at these threads below, already made tactics (from feedback and donwloads etc) get tested by a_ilfandy each year, I have set up a tactical discussion thread for any types of tactic hints and tips as well as a possession only tactic hints/discussion thread

There is a Utd tactic discussion thread which discusses how Utd lined up at the beginning of the season and many memebers tried to replicate that, the same goes for Barca, Real etc...

If you would like to do this then by all means continue I will gladly keep an eye on it, but I do warn you it can turn ugly.. (some people cannot take criticism at all)

I see and agree, but I thought if this had some moderation and rules it could work. But you are far more experienced in this forum than I am so I have to agree with you and don't make anything with this. Perhaps in the future something similar could be done.

I did not mean dont do it, the thread is open and I appreciate your inginuity when it comes to thread making (some new members are really not that great at threads)

I would partake in something like this though, however, not now as I am busy with a story and all my free time (which is not much goes to playing that save)
