Champions League - Did I miss something?

So I am in 3rd season with Stoke and this just happend:

Did they change the rules so 2 or more teams from same contry can end in same group in Champions League?

That's unusual, never seen that before.

It depends, did a English team win the Europa league the year before? Because that would mean 5 teams in the competition and the chances that two can be in the same group. It's happened before when Liverpool won the Champions League and finished 5th so England had 5 teams in the champions league, with Liverpool and Chelsea in the same group.

The europa cup thing for the teams that don't make champions league. Not sure if it's in game but winning that grants entry to champions league too.

So potentially could have 6 teams
