Change Nation Population

I'm trying to create my own nation but I don't know how to choose the population of my nation. Can anyone help?

You most likely have to create individual cities and then set the population of those cities. That then totals all of them together and voila.

I've chosen the population of each city and region but when I go in game it says "nation population: 0"

I had exactly the same problem when I created the nation "Brittany" a few months ago. Apparently, there is no solution for the moment ...
