Changing contract offer for players

i have offered a contract to a player i am trying to sign but i want to change the amount of money im offering him as i have just been given extra transfer funds and he wont sign if i dont offer him more money, other cloubs are trying to sign him and i have tried to cancel my transfer offer and then put in a new offer but now his club will not accept any bid in time before he accepts another club, is there a way i can change the contract i have offered the player without cancelling the arranged transfer fee???? pleas help

I have tried this before. Better save your game atfirst (Don't do this if this is during a story). Then try out my technique. Cancel the transfer and try to bid again. Will be accepted. Then offer again. You cannot change the contract offer and if you really want to sign him, offer him around 5,000-10,000 more p/w, or he is less likely to come to your club and join another one.
