Changing The Boards Expectations

How do you, in short, get the board to accept philosophy changes when they turn you down again and again. Can you?

I have just started my third season as manager of Arsenal. Things are going well on all fronts, board is happy... Except with one thing: They want me to play possession football.

First season I played a 4-3-3 with an aim of attacking AND possession football. But I don't like it and want to play a more... Dortmund style of football. Every time I ask my board to drop the possession expectation they turn me down.

Is there anything I can do?... Other than ignore them?

If they 'strongly agree' with the possession style then i think it's very unlikely. Anyway you wont get into much trouble as long as you're not going below 50% possession often

I never go below 50%, even against Barca last season I had minimum 55% and still the board is happy to see the efforts to play a possession based football, but want to see it improve.
