Cheating - Has anyone being tempted?

So, Football Manager 2010 was my first experience of Football Manager and I'm first to say that I found it too hard to string to wins together. So I cheated. (not by exploiting bugs) but by holidaying through games and if any undesirable result showed I did not save, i restarted and played the match again until i won. Needless to say, I managed to reach legend status by winning 2 world cups, countless domestic cups, European Trophies etc.

I quickly grew bored and took time out. Only a few weeks ago my hunger for FM flamed up again and I decided to go through a season without cheating and I'm finding it so challenging, hard but really fun. Cannot believe I wasted so many hours cheating when I could've tested myself.

I've now ordered FM11 (it's coming in 3 days :D) and promised myself to enjoy the game and not repeat my FM10 antics.

So has anyone commited the horrific FM crimes that I have?
 
I sometimes rage quit if I get a last minute winner scored against me. I'm better than I used to be ;)
 
Yes. In FM10, I done the same as you, I never did it to were I won were every match, but in Important games, FA cup finals, title deciders etc.

I bought the game to have fun and challenge myself, im not insecure enough to just cheat my way to the top so that I can think im an da best.
 
Be Barcelona on your first save (2 seasons). Then do a save with a top club in England or your club (4-... seasons). Then do a career, starting with a team from the championship and working your way up to becoming a World cup winning manager!

Following these steps, it will let you pick the game up very fast and become good...
 
Ive used RTE when Ive got bored, and just messed around, by doing silly things like taking messi etc to Cheltenham town. although as its not a serious game, I dont really class it as cheating
 
I use to do it all the time but not so much any more. I think my San Marino save (story on the story section) is the only save i've not cheated once, for anything....oh and my Boca Juniors save, i didnt cheat

I do stuff like this when i get bored on a long term save, either that or start a new one..
 
i used to add millions of managers to other teams in my league and just totally mess up their teams by selling all there players or playing keepers up front etc.
 
like jak 16 said, ive ragequit a few times when they nick a last minuite winner in a big game or something but its rare :) but i dont give myself loads of money etc etc, thats proper cheating :)
 
Only time i cheated was on CM03.04, but eventually it gets broing and i prefer to lose some games than remain unbeaten as it makes the game more realistic
 
If i'm bored I'll use FMRTE to muck around. Not really cheating per se as I don't take it seriously but to just create a legendary team with the best players and mess around with it.
 
I did when I first started playing FM (07 I think). But I don't at all now - IMO it ruins the game. I don't rage quit very often at all. I remain calm and collected like a proper manager :P
 
So far I've always managed to win the moral battle to press save after a horrendous defeat.

dont do it anymore no fun in it
 
Yes,that's how I played Fm in the beggining.Then I started to just use genie scout and then no helps.Altougth I still cant play with attributes hidden,no matter how realistic it makes the game.

1-0 to me all through a match, then 4 mins added on after 90 mins, 4 mins passed and I was wondering when the man in black was going to blow the whistle. 3 mins later I am still wondering then... Goal...To Them. Bamn goes my PC....
