On 8 July, the new manager had the first match against Chelsea Reserves.

Chelsea crushed the Reserves team with 5 - 0.

Frank Lampard open the table in min 4, Essien scored the second goal in min 7, Sturridge mark as well in the min 33.

Alex: Chris Foy had a very bad game today, I hope that is not what I think it is and it was just a mistake of the referee...
Ashley Cole was sent off in min 41 for nothing, not even a tehnical fault.
From that moment all the game change in Manchester United's favor.
But we deserved the victory, when Luis Suarez hit on the break, I know that we will win the game. Maybe in this match I didn't play very attractive, but I had done what I had to do to win the trophy.

Drogba, Lampard and Bosingwa wear out with an injury.

Nice, i have a Chelsea save going, just in the 2nd season now, JUST won the prem (2 points ahead of Liverpool i think - and i only lost ONCE in the season to Blackburn 1-0)

FA cup, KO'd by Juventus in Champs league (they were 9th in their league at the time!!)

Ashley Cole was banned for 2 matches after the red card from the Community Shield, my appeal was rejected for no reason and I bellive that is the hand of Alex Ferguson, because Ashley Cole can't play in the game against Manchester United.

Fans are pleased with the 2 resultes but not the games... Chelsea don't look very solid and win with luck...
Fans are confident that Luis Suarez will acomodate and will help the team... in the future.
Fans are disappointed with Pantilimon, he don't even came in the game as sub.

Alex response on Pantilimon case: "Pantilimon need to acomadate to the new club, he will help us out very very soon, you can bet on it".

I use to change setting every game, because I don't know exactly what is the best but this is the usual:

Lampard - Playmaker - Attack or Support or Central Midfielder - Attack
Essien - Box to Box Midfielder - Support or Ball Winning Midfielder NEVER Anchor

Anchor only Ballack i use it and it played very well.
