CHELSEA’S bid to land one of Europe’s hottest young striking talents has been boosted after he was pictured wearing a club shirt at Stamford Bridge.


Anderlecht striker Romelu Lukaku, 17, – dubbed ‘the new Didier Drogba’ – is one of Europe’s hottest properties and has been linked with Arsenal, AC Milan and Real Madrid.


But Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti looks to have a head start in the race after photos of Lukaku wearing the current Chelsea home jersey in the Stamford Bridge dugout and press conference room were posted on Facebook.


Chelsea last night denied the trip to Stamford Bridge was organised by the club, insisting 6ft 4ins Lukaku was on a stadium tour open to the public.


Anderlecht value Lukaku at around £10m but are determined to hold on to their prized asset as long as possible.


Lukaku fired 15 goals in 33 appearances for Anderlecht last season and already has two caps for Belgium.
 
be a great signing, especially if Torres doesn't leave Anfield :D
 
really hope this is true :) but unfortunately its a story from the papers :(
 
He will go and ruin his career by going to Real Madrid for the first 3 years of his critical development stage.
 
It's in a 20p newspaper so don't take it too seriously, however contradicting myself i could see it happening.
 
If this is true, then I'd love to see him in the PL.

Been wondering just how good he is outside of FM, and would like to watch him play on a weekly basis.
 
is there not a thread about the same thing , he was there on a school trip ?
