August 2014

View attachment 438908Our lovely owner decided to dip into his deep pockets and give us ?7m of his own money. Just what we needed.

View attachment 438907?14m to spend and an extra 100k a week on wages. not bad at all. very happy with this. I'm going to try and keep the majority of the team and only bring in a few key players.

Transfers to follow

The area I needed to improve was my central midfield positions so I managed to get experienced American Jermaine Jones. He will drop straight into the first team and hopefully give us a couple of years service.

Giorgos Karagounis - Free

Another freebie after leaving Fulham, He is getting on a bit but still has the skills to help us. Won't play many games but is a good back up for my other guys.

Marvin Knoll - ?375K

Got Knoll from Saundhausen in the German 3rd division. Very good player, versatile and will battle Pugh for the left wing.

Anthony Stokes - ?5m

More than I wanted to spend on a striker but I needed a good one for this season as Pitman wasn't going to cut it. I missed out on a few targets because I couldn't afford the wages but I have a good feeling about Stokes.

Adam Henley - ?2.4m

Henley is a good prospect for the future. He and Francis will battle for RB but hopefully Henley will progress and can use him more. I tried to get Brayford for the RB position but again I couldn't afford his wages....

Ben Amos - ?300k

Amos will be my backup keeper to Allsop, maybe even rotating them at times. I released my other keepers as they wouldn't cut it at this level.

Just over ?8m spent an nothing coming back in but I let a lot of people go for free to get wages down as low as possible.

This is how the team looks just after 1 game of the season.

So what do you think of the new signings? any feedback will be appreciated!!

August + September

Injuries seem to be coming think and fast recently. Jones, Stokes and now Ritchie out. 3 of our key players. Not good when we are going to struggle as it is.

Loan Signing:
View attachment 438823
I needed another striker as the other left or went out on loan so I got Bowery from Villa for the season.

Results:
View attachment 438821
A terrible start to the season but we had some hard fixtures. 3 losses and a lucky victory against Everton in the first 4 made me rethink my tactics. Since then we have been playing much better and we were unlucky not to beat Southampton who had won all 5 of their previous matches.

Table:
View attachment 438820Good position in the table when we were favourites to be relegated. if we are here at the end of the season we would have done well.

October + November

He is injured again....not good. I hope he can put this behind him because he is a needed player.

anyway onto brighter things....the results!

View attachment 438748

A few good results this period, the win away at city was a particular delight.

Table:
View attachment 438747Good position, narrowly above the drop zone. We are, however, making nice profit each month which will help us if we do get relegated.

I had an interview for Norwich (only attended to see what they were like) and because of this I managed to get better training and youth facilities at Bournemouth as long as I stayed. Result as I wasn't going to leave anyway.

Results this month have not been good! 9 out the 14 were away which didn't help and as you can see we suffered some heavy defeats whilst on the road.

Morale is very low throughout the team and it's going to get harder as the season goes on.

Table:
View attachment 438534
Not quite in the drop zone but we are very close. I need a good run of results or the teams below us are going to catch us.

One bit of good news is that I have managed to get a new signing for us to give us an added bit of experience.

Park Ji Sung
View attachment 438533
A very good player to add some skill on the wings. He has slotted straight into the first team so far and hopefully he can produce for us, and quickly.

The battle for survival is definitely on.

Not looking very good for this side, morale dropped so bad after these defeats and nothing seems to be working. I hate to say it but I really fear for my job hear haha.

Table:
View attachment 438156
19th, lowest all season. One good thing is that the teams around me are very close so it is still possible to escape.

Youth Intake.
View attachment 438154What can I say? When your luck is out it really is out. Not a good youth intake but I found a couple of young gems that are joining at the beginning of next year.

One positive note is that on the fixture front we have an away game against bottom of the pile Stoke. and then 4 home games on the trot including Derby and Hull who are both struggling near the bottom.

End of season review to follow. Miracle on the way??

Great story mate hope you stay up !! I had a Bournemouth save last year which I enjoyed & I always used to sign Donal McDermott he was a class left winger & Miles Addison who was a rock at CB or as a DM keep it up

I ditched Addison the first chance I got cause he was my highest earner and couldn't compete with my others. Going to start looking for regens now and hopefully find some gems!

End of Season

as we left it we were one point above the drop zone, 2 games to make it, did we do it?

WE SURVIVED!!!!!!!!
Not sure how we did this but managed to smash Spurs and all the teams below lost so didn't need the last game which ended in a draw anyway.

Table:
View attachment 437654
16th place in the end which is just what we needed. Now to build a better squad and move up the league.

View attachment 437652
Woo larger stadium, just what we needed.

View attachment 437651I managed to get this after attending an interview with Norwich, bribed the boss for better facilities when I wasn't going to leave anyway

View attachment 437650
****, didn't know that we had a wealthy owner pumping money into the club, must not have been paying attention. Ohwel we got good bit of money in the bank so should be ok.

Lets hope next season isn't so difficult.
