Hi folks,
Chrissy here with my scumbag, lets see if we can punk the match engine, tactic for FM15. I am quickly going to list some details, provide screenshots then upload the tactic for you.
- The tactic is plug and play, home and away. I have tested the tactic with Crystal Palace who are relegation candidates fro the standard 15 games. My results have been exceptionally impressive. I have chose Palace as the tactic was destroying teams with Man City etc but with Palace it shows if its actually giving an advantage.
- The tactic is Four Three Three
- I let the assistant manager handle everything from training (team and individual), press conferences to opposition instructions.
- Team talks I took control of myself. Always telling the players I expect a win, or to pick up where they left off, telling them how great they are doing if 2/3 up. Admonishing them is a goal or two is in it to "must play better" etc
- Pick players that suit the positions/roles being asked.
- Note that the team in defence, midfield and attack has roles to fit transitional play and movement. i.e. always one support, attack and defence role in each phase of the formation.
- The tactic is primarily focused on pressure and control.
- If a player is booked early doors and/or unfit/injured - sub. If you go down to ten men, take off the attacking CM.
The tactic has the whole team putting pressure on the opposition to attain possession. Once in possession the theory is that the team retains control of the game and the all then works the ball into the box, via crosses or short passing to feet, to achieve goals.
This is a plug and play tactic that works with all teams of all levels. The better the team, the better the results. The rationale behind this being that as the tactic is set to control and retaining possession/pressing, the only tweak that will ever need to be done is select "take a breather" to run down the clock in the team instructions. Seeing as it is simply one click I have not created a new tactic for this.
The tactic also does not rely on creative freedom for players, therefore can work quite well the lower down the leagues you go. The purpose of the tactic is to pressurise the opposition into losing the ball high up the pitch. Then once in possession, the ball is retained and chances are hopefully created. By pressurising higher up the pitch, the aim is to harry the opposition into mistakes.
So have fun folks, and feel free to discuss with me on this forum. The tactic is below;
