As I look at Sambas positions, he is a content striker!? WTF, he is a solid center back, and I've never seen him play a game as strikr IRL. So can anybody answer my question, how golod is Chris Samba as a striker?

I've never personally used him as a striker, just because I've never bought him or managed him but I do know that it was during the 08-09 season he played striker multiple times. Big Sam used as a lone striker often.

Really, he would have had a good physical presence as a striker.

Yep, that's exactly what Allardyce liked. They were loosing against tottenham and he put Samba up there as a lone striker. they were losing 1-0, after they put him up there they ended up winning 2-1. He played striker multiple occasions after that.

true, or set pieces in general. his frame and presence alone disrupts walls, defenders, and goalies. Is he playing lone?

He's been rotated with welbeck and chicarito, rooney is out for months.

Like Phil Jones, he started off as a striker but his size and height and lack of pace mved him into defence, more than 1 occasion in the last 10 mins of games blackburn will hold 3 at the back diamond in middle and 3 upfront. On my game he cut in from left side of pitch at halfway line, beat 3 and curled one top bag, best goal ive ever seen

I really think City or Chelsea should have went for this guy

City because they could use depth in defence and loan out Savic, and put him up front a bit since there strikers are failing and Tevez is no where near match fit.

Chelsea because our defence is ****. We could of really used a big guy like him and then put Luiz in mid and Cahill as a backup where he belongs.
