What role does city attraction play in FM? and for that matter, what role does city population play?

City Attraction gives a better effect on a player's preference in living when joining a new club.For example:

London is an urban,metropolitan area,with transport,good links to clubs and good state of living.Clubs like Chelsea,Arsenal and Tottenham would have good chances of attracting players.

Say,for example,a countryside (dunno what city/town) had a club and they wanted to buy a player,his preference may not be in quiet countrysides,but urban areas.It plays a huge part.

It will even say sometimes when a player changes from a rural to urban environment.
 
A big city with a high attraction rating might also help a player transition if he's foreign. For example Player A signs for Watford and settles in just fine but if he signs for Blackpool he might not settle as easily. But, I could just be full of it. I don't actually know.
 
City population affects the chance of having a wonderkid come threough your academy. The bigger the city, the more likely it is you have a star come through the ranks.
 
But what determines a players preference for city attraction? Do ALL players like big cities? I find that a little silly, I'm a country boy myself.
 
yes that would indeed be strange. Also the wonderkid story, I find that weird, I thought that depends on your youth facility, not really the city you're in

I think he means there will be a bigger pool of players coming through.
 
Do you all think City Attraction would effect the odds of a tycoon takeover? Certainly a tycoon would rather have a club in one of the worlds top cities, than a club in a town of 5,000 surrounded by cows...?
