I have a defend corner set up in the TC with a player set to Close Down Taker, but during the game, there is never a player closing down the taker.
I a trying to set up a defensive routine that encourages a fast counter attack if we win the ball but what I try in the TC doesn't seem to happen on the pitch.
Also, with attacking corners, I usually have a player standing by the taker on 'Offer Short Option' but I don't have a corner routine with short corners at all - the player is there for no other reason than to draw out a defender, but the taker often passes it to him, and he then loses it to the defender marking him.
Does anyone else have a problem where the routine you set in the TC don't translate to the match?
