Closing down

Is there any point in setting this as a team/opposition instruction? Even when they do it, they make no effort to win the ball - all they do is protect the attacking player from being tackled by someone else.

I have tried all variations of close down/tackle harder/ease off tackles but am yet to find one that works effectively enough to get my players to do both.

I find that the instructions 'get stuck in' and 'stand up when tackling' work well

Do you use them with or without closing down? I've tried using tackle harder and removing closing down as a team and opposition instruction before but that led to a flurry of cards and free kicks against.

Got it working for one game - thought I had cracked it, then Raith Rovers seemed to be too much hassle.
