Well theres hero, Alan Shearer, then theres what I think of as a cult hero - the lesser known hero to the majority but the fans LOVE.

and that would probably be wor Nobby Solano

Graeme Murty.

Captain for 5-10 years. 300 odd appearances for us. Hard Working Legend.

Maldini

Did it all and was a complete professional + one of the best defenders ever

Brian Laudrup, Paul Gascoigne, Ally Mccoist, Iain Durrant,Nacho Novo, Jorg Albertz, Walter Smith, and on a personal level for me, Barry Ferguson :)

If there was a team for great players + Great professionals, Maldini and giggs would form the most deadly yet humble left sided combo ever!

Matthew Le Tissier, He is the guy you call loyalty. Stayed with Saints thick and thin. Through the good and the bad times.

tbh, i could see giggsy leading us to futher glory as a manager, he's got the right stuff for it

Bill Shankly, King Kenny, and of course Stevey G

Well yeah i wouldnt want cantona to manage, he hasnt done much football related since retiring.
Im merely stating probably one of our biggest club icons.

But i agree Giggsy to be Knighted and to Manage united after mourinho

The "Magníficos" (Carlos Lapetra, Marcelino, Santos, Canario, Yarza,...), the "Zaraguayos" (Diarte, Arrúa,...), Seminario, Víctor Muñoz, Juan Señor, 1995 Cup Winner's Cup winners (Cedrún, Aguado, Cáceres, Belsué, Nayim, Esnáider, Poyet,Higuera, Pardeza,...), Zapater, Milito's brothers, David Villa,...

We all know the former players like Ron Harris, Bobby Tambling and Peter Osgood but i think a couple of players who are playing for us now will be rememberd forever.
Frank Lampard - Sensational servant to the club and one of the best coups in English football ever.
Michael Essien - Just works hard every game/training session and has a great reletionship with fans.
John Terry - all i need to say is Captain, Leader, Legend.
