Clubs won't accept offers matching asking price?

Hi lads,in all of my saves I've sent an offer,the clubs have given me an asking price,and sometimes if I match it they accept.But a lot of the time they don't.Is it that they won't accept money over 6-48 months,or just a bug? Thanks

I would suspect that teams would be less willing to accept money over 48 months, as it means they can't spend the money now, and they could get into financial difficulties before they have got all the money. The same way I am reluctant to accept 48 months deals for my players.

I would never accept payment over 48 months unless that player was completely useless to me and taking up a portion of salary budget for no reason.
