What are the best CM roles to play when using a standard 4-4-2? Eg. Deep Laying Playmaker Defend and Advanced Playmaker Attack.

What are the best CM roles to play when using a standard 4-4-2? Eg. Deep Laying Playmaker Defend and Advanced Playmaker Attack.

There are no best roles as such but it IS important to have à balance, one operating slightly deeper and one slightly higher, one player that is better at defending, one more creative etc
