Well Quo were fookin ace again, they just get better and better. I cant believe the energy theyve got for their age.
The support bands were a mixed bag though. Dr & The Medics were good to get the day going, decent covers with a big comedy element. 7/10.
Aura were ******* atrocious. A bunch of young kids whod been together 6 months before this gig and you could tell. The music was the kind of stuff i was writing when I was 14 - ***** cheesy rock stuff with lyrics about stuff they aint even old enough to have experienced yet. And the singer loved himself WAY too much. I would have enjoyed punching his face repeatedly, he ****** me off that much. 0/10 (Yes they were THAT ****)
The Hayseed Dixies - what can I say?? A bunch of rednecks doing hillbilly covers of rock songs (Rockgrass they call it)! They were pretty good at what they did but they're really an acquired taste! Fair play to anybody who can write a song called 'Im Keeping Your **** In A Jar' though.... 6/10
Then the mighty Quo. Blistering sound, tight as **** as usual, immense crowd interaction (I had a classic little chat with Francis Rossi in between songs regarding me dad, me uncle and me managing to make a fair bit of room around us even though it was ram packed), and a classic set list.
My only moan about Quo is that they could maybe freshen the setlist up a touch, especially with the
New Album coming out. But all in all they're still the best band I've ever seen live. 10/10!!
