/* This is 2011 version of this thread.
If there are unwanted coincidences, I'm sorry */

My name is Bijak Riyandi Ahadito. Born in Jakarta, January 16th, 1974.
I used to be Indonesian international until a horrible tackle...
Yes, a horrible tackle that end my career as a player.

Fate is a mystery.
I never knew what will I be when I retired early three years ago, aged just 33.
Even I didn't know if I could face this life after what happened on the last game of my career in a Red-White shirt.

I've played in Europe for 7 years during my career's peak. I've played in Denmark for 3 seasons, Poland for 1 season, and Yugoslavia for 3 seasons, before ultimately back to my lovely country, Indonesia.

Two years ago, right after I made a full recovery. I met my friend in Copenhagen. We had a long chat that day.
After I told him I've retired, he suggested me to be a manager. But he told me that if I want to manage in a top-flight team, I must have a UEFA License.

It took two years for me to complete the course, but two years worth it.
I've qualified for UEFA B License!

And as I said before: fate is a mystery.
It's all fate that brought me here, standing in Europe again.
It's fate that brought me here, standing in a stadium called "Tehtaan Kentta" in Valkeakoski.
It's fate that brought me here, to manage a club named "FC Haka"!!!

Valkeakoski, a city in southern Finland. 93 miles from Helsinki.
I've rented an apartment for me to live with my family. It's about two miles from the training ground.
One problem is, the nearest masjid (mosque) to pray is in Tampere, 22 miles north of the city!
Every Friday, I must go there for Friday Prayer.

I've never been to Finland before, so it's kinda strange here.
I hope I could settle here faster.
There's a street downtown called Valtakatu, a place if I need something.
Gonna check what's up there tonight.

I met the team and the staff right after I arrived in Tehtaan kenttä.
I checked the team and I'm stunned that the main goal keeper is out injured!
Well, time to find a goalie if Saku Pesonen can't do it well.

The coaches here are a bit dreadful, so I offer them mutual termination.
Although I still keep some of them in the club.

Pre-season and Veikkausliiga Liigacup is waiting.
Can't wait for my managerial debut in a home match against AC Oulu.

We lose the final of Veikkausliiga Liigacup Final in the hands of FC Inter Turku.
But, I can be proud of the team's performance along the league cup.

Here is the whole preseason:

To strengthen my squad, I've signed several players. But, because of the budget is low, I need to slash the wage bill for the transfer funds.
Koskenpojat (Haka's B Team) is totally dreadful. I offered mutual termination on more than a half of the team.

We also signed several players abroad. But, because of the rules, we can't sign them until their contract finished or the Summer Transfer Window opened.

For your information, there are four Transfer Windows in Finnish League:
1. Winter Transfer Window (Jan 1st - Jan 31st)
2. Domestic Transfer Window (Feb 1st - Jul 31st)
3. Summer Transfer Window (Aug 1st - Aug 31st)
4. Free-Transfers Transfer Window (Nov 15th - Dec 31st)

The league is now underway, I hope we can get a good result, and play in continental competition next year.
Our first match is a home match against Kuopion Palloseura aka KuPS.
The game will be played on Sunday, April 18th 2010.

Looks good, will check in on it from time to time mate. Please check mine out, AFC Wimbledon - The Rise of the Wombles, when u can.

Hope your season and story goes well.

I'll check your story :)

Looks ok mate, will pop in every now and then and have a peak....keep it up

Good start. It will be interesting to see if you can one day make it to the Champions League group stages with a Finnish club.

Good win at PK-37's home. The team showed a real character in the match.

Quarter-final is also an away match.
I need to be prepared for that.

We didn't start the league well. Only draw 0-0 to KuPS and then lose to Mariehamn.

After PK-37, a home game against Honka is waiting.
Honka isn't an easy opponent, so I must be careful.

I'm absolutely delighted with this signing!
Siyabonga Nkosi is a great attacking midfielder.
As he is eligible for the next match, I'll start him and play him for 90 minutes (except if he is injured in the match).

Well, next two weeks is going to be a tough week.
We will play Honka (Home, Veikkausliiga), Lahti (Away, Veikkausliiga), JJK (Away, Suomen Cup), HJK (Home, Veikkausliiga).
And if we advance to Semifinal of Suomen Cup, the match is three days after HJK clash.

I really hope the players' morale don't drop if we lose one or two games out there.
Because if their morale drop, it's not going to be good.

Out of expectation.
I expect to win two games of that hard week, but in fact we lose all game except the quarter-final.

Morale of the players are down right now. I just don't know what to do.
I hope I can get a win soon.

My last chance maybe come when new signings arrived.
One player will come on July 1st, four players on August 1st, and one player on August 26th, 2011 (guess who?).

If those players can perform well, I'm optimist we can get good results.
