Continue game on Patch?

I know there's a patch coming, or atleast i really hope there is, but will i have to start a new game when its released, or can i continue with the one i have but have the new effects?

You'll have to start a new game for the changes to take effect, as usual I assume.

Glad jake isn't here, if he had to answer one of these, he would get brain damaged .. if you want to change the database , add new leagues, you have to start a new one mate ..

I meant for the bug fixes not the database, i didn't realise the bug fixes would come through the database?

Will the patch come out around xmas?

Patch is due out some point in December, no date set yet though.

The patch fixes the bugs from what I've experienced in the past. I wish people would actually read the OP properly before having knee-jerk reactions to what they THINK is being asked.

Bug fixes are save game compatible.

DB changes are not.
