Has anybody else noticed that when trying to sign certain players from south america they want to see what the club will offer them and no matter what they always feel negotions are miles apart. I tried to sign several players and this happened. One of the players was on £425 per week and I offered him £7,500 per week and he withdrew from negotiations. Anybody else had this problem? Anyone got any tips for smooth contract negotiations?

Yeah, if the player is important enough to you, pay what you need to pay to get him. Also, to lower wages, add in bonuses that they are never likely to get. Eg. 30 goals a season bonus for a defender. Or relegation release clause and things like that..make up for reduction in salary with other bonuses. And btw, don't lock a part of the contract if you're offering way underneath what they want..they will just back out of negotiations.

If they are youth players offer them a realistic wage and then offer them a wage after 30 games that is about average for your starting 11

Offer the agent loads of money as well because they tend to be more greedy than the players themselves.

here are some of the examplesofwhat i mean. Tried signing this Peruvian winger. He was on £425 per week and I offered him £8k a week. That is almost 20 timesmorea week than he is on at the moment. offered him £100k and his agent £200K and he withdreww completely stating we was miles apart!!!
