Is it just me that finds the transfer market on FM14 a bit strange? I'm able to profit massively from the contract expiries that would never happen in real life, and purchase/sell for daft amounts of money.
I'm Southampton in my 5th season, here are my stand-out deals...
Season 1:
Tom Ince free - Sold for £17.5m in 3rd season
Marco Verratti on loan for 3 yrs, bought for £9m - He's worth 20m now and just scored 25 goals in 31 games (AMC)
Andros Townsend £13m - To me this is quite cheap
Ron-Robert Zieler - £5.5m - Bargain
Sold Morgan Schneiderlin - £18.5m
Season 2:
Douglas Costa - Bought for £13m, sold for £31m after 2 average seasons
Fraser Forster - Bought for £5m, sold for £16m after 2 average seasons
Eder Balanta - £8.5m and is basically a beast
Sold Dani Osvaldo for £14.75m - Cheers
Sold Jay Rodriguez for £13m - Was useless
Season 3:
Sergi Roberto (Barca) - Signed for free, played 16 games then next summer sold for £24m
Humam Tariq - £3m, young Messi
Season 4:
Oxlade-Chamberlain - £7.5m - Way too cheap
Domenico Berardi - Free, sold for £13m in Jan after playing 2 games because he can't be registered
Marco Reus - £6m.... I'll let you guys comment

Season 5:
Daniel Sturridge - 4.2m
Mario Gotze: Free, Unattached.... Hmmm
I'm not sure if it's made it more enjoyable that I'm getting such an advantage from the market, or that it's spoiling it by being too unrealistic oO)
