Creating my club :( .Help me plz !!!

I created my own team using editor but when I played FM 2012 ,not only my team but also every team cannot play English League Cup .Whenever I check the overview of the Cup ,it's always said : " English League Cup will start on 29th July 2011 " although now is November ,2012 .Last season I cannot played too .
So anyone who experienced this problem ,please help me !

I experienced this exact same problem months back and posted the problem on here to never get a response to solve it. Very frustrating as the game does get boring after a while and being able to do this opens alot of different doors n challenges. Would be interested if you find a way to solve it or anyone else has overcome the problem?
