**** everyone,

I want to try to replicate the role that Busquets has played in many times this season-
When in the attacking phase, he is playing as the deepest midfielder for most of the time in a 3-4-3, but when Barca lose possession, he is tracking back and playing as another CB in a 4-3-3.
I want to try and replicate it in FM - I want a midfielder that turns to a CB in the defensive phase and steps up to be the deepest mid in the attacking phase (not necessarily 3 man defence turning into 4).
The problem with this as it was shown last night in El Classico, when Busquets turn into a CB, the oppsin AMC - Ozil had too much time on the ball, so when my mid turns to a CB I also need one my other CM's to turn into a DMC and cover the opposin AMC.
Any thoughts?

I might try it the other way round.....a CB that turns into a DM in attack....?

Football Managers match engine isnt capable of achieving the fluidity of Barcelonas style of play sadly. The only way you can switch between a 3-4-3 and a 4-3-3 (as far as i know, please correct me if im wrong) depending on whether you are attacking or defending is by having the 2 formations in the tactics screen and switching between them manually. If you have the patience to do that for 90, kudos to you. The only thing i can really suggest is having a play around with the player instructions, specifically the players mentality and creative freedom. Set Busquets to quite a low mentality, slightly higher than you normal Cb's and lower than your Cm, and low freedom, and while he wont exactly slot into a 3 man defence in a normal sense, he should be very defensive when you're defending, and wont stray too far forward when in attack. It'll probably take alot of experimenting to get that right though.

give him anchorman role with an ultra defensive mentality
