What a way to start the season with getting 4 goals in our first game, Bowler carrying on his great form from last season.
Luton v Crewe
Both goals scored today by debutantes with both being former Manchester United graduates.
Carabao Cup 1st Round
Sheffield United v Crewe
Fletcher getting us back into the game to claim a big scalp in my eyes as we knock out the Championship side and will then play Barnsley in the 2nd round.
Crewe v Scunthorpe
--
Wigan v Crewe
Fletcher fastly becoming a legend with getting us the 3 points as he single handedly wins us the game.
Fleetwood v Crewe
Fletcher yet again gets the opening goal before Ainley puts the game to bed.
Carabao Cup 2nd Round
Barnsley v Crewe
Barnsley were relegated to League One last season so we take advantage of the uncertainty at the club and get a good result.
Crewe v Exeter
We leave it right until the end to end to get very lucky with a penalty that Jones keeps up his 100% record of scoring from the spot.
A great comeback as we go 2-0 down to come back and get a big win thanks to an own goal.
Crewe v Lincoln
We get a great win against fellow promotion contenders Lincoln with Fletcher getting us off to a great start in the 2nd minute.
Shrewsbury v Crewe
A comfortable win here as we rotate a few players to give a rest with Sinclair putting the game to bed after 81 minutes.
MK Dons v Crewe
A late goal in each half gives us the win with Sinclair coming on with 10 minutes to go to bag the winner.
Carabao Cup 3rd Round Crewe v Luton
A tough first half but we rally together at half time and Fletcher gets the opening two goals before Hall heads in from a corner with the final touch of the game.
Crewe v Rotherham
Our run finally comes to an end but it was probably a fair result in the end.
League Table
In other news this month Brexit has finally been announced.
A bit of rotation here to give players a rest along with giving others a fright to get them back to the top of their game after the defeat.
Crewe v Plymouth
Barlow dictating the game and scoring two great individual goals to show how much class he has at this level.
Checkatrade Trophy Group E North
Crewe v Liverpool U23's
Feel very privileged to have won this game with Oxlade-Chamberlain being on the pitch for the full game.
Accrington v Crewe
A poor result since we couldn't even overcome 10 men for the majority of the game.
Crewe v Peterborough
We get a massive let off in this game as we nearly throw away a lead but the own goal and the penalty right at the end of the first half helped as well.
Crewe v Bradford City
--
Burton v Crewe
Arribas gets his first goal at the club now he has been given a chance to make a place his own in the middle of the park to cap off a very impressive win.
Carabao Cup 4t Round Crewe v Burnley
We give it our best here and managed to make a proper game of it here which is all we could really ask as Burnley knock us out of yet another cup.
League Table
The best thing about this month is I have been offered another new one year deal at the club.
We made two very big signings this month as we snap up two players who's contracts expired in the summer and then couldn't find clubs so we welcomed James Wilson and Adam Matthews.
Walsall v Crewe
We do well to come back from a losing position twice to grab a point with Barlow being class.
FA Cup 1st Round
Dag & Red v Crewe
We go all out here and James Wilson does well to come on in the second half for his debut and get two goals and get us an away tie to Chesterfield.
Checkatrade Trophy Group E North
Bradford v Crewe
We get a very good win here that see's us finish the top of the table. This is a competition I want to take seriously this year.
Crewe v Barnsley
A great opening 14 minutes to the game and then it all fizzled out after that.
Crewe v Bristol Rovers
It was disappointing to concede in the 90th minute after managing for 30 minutes with 10 men.
Gillingham v Crewe
Finally we get a win in the league this month to keep up our push for the top of the table.
FA Cup 2nd Round
Chesterfield v Crewe
A much harder game than I thought it was going to be but we manage to get our act together in the end and get a good win which gets us an away tie to Cambridge.
Arribas gets us off to a good start before Fletcher gets sent off and we manage to hold on against a week Preston side that are struggling after relegation.
Checkatrade Trophy North Second Round Crewe v Notts County
Phil Adams makes his debut for the club and gets the opening goal before Barlow slots home from the penalty spot to line up an away trip to Grimsby
Crewe v Coventry
Wilson comes on in the second half for Fletcher to get us a lucky point as we were the poorer team here.
Wimbledon v Crewe
Wilson becoming a super sub this month we coming on to grab vital goals when there needed.
Doncaster v Crewe
What a game, thought it was in the bag after being 4-0 up after 37 minutes but who knew that losing Barlow would affect us so much but we get the 3 points and the fans get to see an amazing game.
Crewe v Wigan
A lot of rotation here due to the number of fixtures at this time of year but Pickering does well to get forward from his LB position to get the goal.
We ended up getting some very good deals in this window. Gallo was sold to help balance the books and will be a big loss as he was a key player for us. We then got very good deals for our youth players that could have maybe made it at the club but we cashed in on them just now to improve the bank balance and will reinvest the money back into improving the facilities at the club.Transfers Players In
We only conclude 3 deals Bedeau came in for a like for like replacement for Gallo but right at the end we signed Latibeaudiere from Man City and he looks like he could become a great signing for the club. How can you say no to Woodman for that price. We will probably sell him on for a profit later but at the moment he will provide great competition for Camps.
FA Cup 3rd Round Cambridge v Crewe
We get pushed all the way here and rely on Fletcher to grab a last minute goal to see us through to the 4th round against Arsenal.
Crewe v Luton
--
Scurnthorpe v Crewe
A very comfortable win against the team just below us in the league with Ainley getting a brace off the right wing.
Checkatrade Trophy North Third Round Grimsby v Crewe
A good win which see's us through to the fourth round. I feel we have a great chance of making it to Wembley with this competition.
Exeter v Crewe
We keep up our 100% record against Exeter to make it 5 wins from 5 against them
Crewe v Fleetwood
A narrow win in a game where we were lucky not to concede but Camps won MoM here as Fleetwood battered us in the second half.
FA Cup 4th Round Arsenal v Crewe
What a result as Camps gets another MoM as he does brilliantly to keep out arsenals 12 shots on target to our 2. The replay will be a great money spinner for the club.
Crewe
A goal just after half time is enough to grab us the three points as we rotate a few players after the Arsenal game.
We rotated as much as we could here with the big replay against Arsenal up next and it sadly cost us as they just weren't good enough.
FA Cup 4th Round Replay Crewe v Arsenal
What a game considering we played it with only 10 ment from the 35th minute but James Wilson truly showed his class as he tore the Arsenal defence to shreds either side of the red card to see us through to the 5th round against Aston Villa.
Crewe v MK Dons
Riding on a high from the last game our tired players go out and manage to scrape a good win to keep our league form going.
Checkatrade Trophy Quarter Final Crewe v Wolves Under 23's
We get very luck with getting the winning goal with the final kick of the ball but it was a great game since wolves had some great players out.
Rotherham v Crewe
We have to rotate again with the FA Cup match coming up but we fall short against as we are completely played off the park.
FA Cup 5th Round Aston Villa v Crewe
We push Villa all the way but succumb to a last minute goal which was heartbreaking as the financial benefits of the replay would of been great.
Crewe v Oxford
We come from behind twice to get an important win to bounce back after the Villa defeat.
Checkatrade Trophy Semi Final Crewe v Scunthorpe
We are back to our best here as we get a nice early goal to see us on our way to our first final.
Plymouth v Crewe
Wilson making sure we finish the month on a high after our hectic schedule.
League Table
This month has also brought our youth intake which has only brought in one player worth mentioning
Yeah he's coming along nicely so far, had 10 clean sheets in 30 league games this season.
The only big bids we had for him were from Newcastle and Watford. I had to fight the board to reject a bid from Watford but thankfully they agreed and then we sold enough players to boost the finances to be able to reject bids.
A narrow win over a team we should of done much better against in our push for promotion
Peterborough v Crewe
A much better performance here as we get 5 different goal scores to show what the team is really capable of.
Bradford v Crewe
A terrible defeat that see's us lose to our title challengers which sees us drop down into second.
Crewe v Burton
A striker finally gets on the score sheet this month as Wilson helps us bounce back from the previous defeat.
Crewe v Walsall
Wilson comes to the rescue to secure a point to keep our title hopes alive.
Checkatrade Trophy Final Chelsea U23's v Crewe
We win our first piece of silverware for the club with an outstanding second half. The one thing that helped was that they didn't have any big names dropping down for the game apart from Mason Mount.
We start off well this month with 2 goals within 5 minutes to get us the three points
Bristol Rovers v Crewe
A disappointing point here as we concede with one of the last kicks of the ball so the title must wait another game.
Crewe v Gillingham
We get the win thats needed with a rotated squad to near enough clinch the title with having a much better goal difference so we only need a point from our next game.
Crewe v Preston
And thanks to an own goal just after we conceded we go up as Champions.
Coventry v Crewe
We get a bit of luck with a last minute goal to secure the 3 points but what a game with both teams pulling it back instantly when they fell behind
Crewe v Wimbledon
We finish off the season the best way possible with a win and a clean sheet.
We had an amzing season where we managed to win the double with the League and Checkatrade Trophy. The League went right down to the final few games as well which made it a lot more exciting.
Not only did we exceed expectations in the league again but we did so in all competitions.
Fletcher cleans up with signing of the season along with player of the season and I feel he still has a lot to give the club as we continue our climb up the leagues and can become a legend here.
Young Eddie Camps is the keeper in the team of the year which is quite a feat considering he is only 17 and was only his first season playing
We are building a strong commercial team who have done very well with bringing in some new sponsors to take the club to the next level and hopefully this will keep growing from season to season.
Our increase in revenue has been shown with our budgets for next season where we are given a decent transfer budget to help build for next season.
For the second season in the row we manage to beat Manchester United 1-0 which is a huge result but Chelsea, Port Vale and Rangers all put us in our place as they beat us comfortably.
Transfers Out
We sold another 3 youngsters for a total of £7.5 million along with letting another few fringe players go that were on higher wages.
Transfers In
We haven't spent much money but we have brought in some strong players with Kurt, Laursen, Alende and Dozzell all going to be key members of the team this season.
We still have around £5 million to spend if the right player comes up for us as I won't spend just for the sake of spending to keep the club doing well financially as well.
Tactics
This will be the starting XI at the start of the season and will be taking us forward into the championship.
Aims for the Season
So the aim for this season might sound boring but it is again to establish ourselves in the division and get clear of relegation.
With it being such a busy month then I'm not going to show each match but what a month we've had as we go unbeaten in both competitions this month which is a **** of a lot better than I expected to be doing up in the Championship especially with big wins over Leeds and Portsmouth. The win against Cardiff was a great start as well
Teams seem to be underestimating us at the moment so long may it continue.
Is it too soon to possibly think about another promotion to the Premier League already?
A great game with both wingers getting on the score sheet along with Fletcher against a team established in the division.
Crewe v Aston Villa
Every defeat is disappointing but we were never really in this game at all against one of the strongest teams in the league.
Swansea v Crewe
A good draw against Swansea here to bounce back from the defeat.
Carabao Cup 3rd Round
Bradford v Crewe
What a game as we rotate the squad and give the backups a chance and boy do they deliver here. The biggest moment of the match though was young Johnny Lambert getting on the score sheet on his debut.
Crewe v Brentford
We give the backups a run out again after they impressed in the cup but they found it hard against stronger opposition.
Sheffield United v Crewe
What a first half as 5 goals are scored but we manage to bounce back again with a great performance from Oliver Burke.
League Table
This month I was also handed a new contract with a £3000 wage rise and will see me stay at the club until 2023 now.
Well this was a lot tougher than the game in the cup and considering it our first team maybe a bit worrying
Bristol City v Crewe
Not too worrying here as we lose to the team currently top of the league.
Millwall v Crewe
Fletcher gets us back to winning ways as he scores his first goals for the club in over 10 hours of football to end his goal drought.
Crewe v Derby
Our best performance of the month as we record a big win over a good team.
Carabao Cup 4th RoundQPR v Crewe
I honestly thought this game was going to go to extra time with 10 minutes remaining but Fletcher and Bishop win us the game with 2 quick goals to beat a premiership side.
Nottingham Forest v Crewe
We were robbed of a point here which we fully deserved after pulling it back to 2-2.
