If you look at the graph you'll see only 4-5 of the completed crosses are actual crosses. Thus, I believe it is not a viable option. Of course, you may be right about not being a "crossing side", but I have tried with good crossers and tall strikers and it doesn't get much better than this, either.
i dont need to look at the graphs, i played those two games, i know which crosses were successful. It is possible since other players have got a crossing game going on, which is the question you asked, just because you haven't got it doesn't mean it is not a viable option

EDIT signed falcao so will see how that turns out

Well, I'm not the only one who didn't get any results whatsoever playing a tall guy and trying to* get him to score...

Well you could also try 2 players playing Target man, like Stoke with Carew and Jones? :$

Wonder if these intercepted crosses are due to the central defenders having higher anticipation and higher positioning, after all heading and jumping are no good if the ball never reaches you

One other thing, "drilling" and "floating" crosses doesn't change how the cross is hit. It's basically another way of describing "near/far" post. It's just because you'd float a cross to the far post, and drill on to the near.

Surely drilling isn't just near most? Like Bale IRL he often drills the ball across the 6 yard line to the far post. Floating doesn't nessessarily mean to far post either. It's used when you have tall strikers you are confident will beat the defenders in the air, or IRL for causing havoc in the box.

Crossing is working nicely for me. In fact it's the main part in my tactic. I never played with 11.2 though so I can't say there is a difference. You might want to try aiming at your target man and set the team instruction to play into his running way. If the target man is quick and is set to come from the deep, that should work. Well it did for me, he scored 15 goals in the first season with an estimated 12 or 13 after successful crossings.

Of course it's set to aim for the Target Man. And what I want is to see good crosses to his ****** head, which isn't happening. I don't want to see a through ball disguised as a cross for the guy to push into the net (Which would happen if you set him to "Run onto ball", as you suggest), I wanted to have a tall guy who could be aerially dominant in open play instead of relying on set pieces alone. Either way, I went back to my Braga save and that was pretty much the end of my tactical quest.
