Former Watford, Liverpool, Barcelona and Celtic player Kyle Friel has today been appointed the new Crystal Palace manager after the shock resignation of Neil Warnock reportedly over lack of transfer funds.
It is not yet known whether chairman Simon Jordan will give Friel money to improve Palace's lackluster squad.

He sold £11.75mil worths, so he was able to purchase.

I sold most of the young prospects but ive bought in some good players

Why of earth did you sell victor moses, diaye and nathanial clyne? They are very important first team players for me and develope very good if you give them first team action. Three huge mistakes im affriad every other player you sold are good but not those three.

But goodluck anyway.

Mmm yeah I wouldn't of sold Moses, Diaye or Djlali (sp?) or Clyne

I needed the money and i wanted my own squad and needed experience

August Results:

Coca Cola Championship Game

Palace 1-0 Scunthorpe (home)
Good start to the season against a lackluster Scunthorpe where we should of seriously won 5-0 but Patrick McCarthy got the winning goal. Unfortunately newly appointed captain Miles Addison was sent off.
Palace Man Of The Match: Paul Green 7.4

Good result with Sean Scannell impressing as did Nacer Barazite chipping in with a few assists but conceded a few sloppy goals.

Coca Cola Championship Game
Notts' Forest 2-3 Palace (Away)
Should have had the game sewn up in the first half hour but let them back in and it was 2-2 at half time but a goal from Christian Nade clinched it. Barazite was awesome with a goal and 2 assists.
Palace Man Of The Match: Nacer Barazite 8.0

Coca Cola Championship Game
Palace 1-1 Swansea (Home)
Shocking performance tinkled with the side, making 4 changes and could of been a big mistake if Swansea had a better front man.
Palace Man Of The Match: Julian Speroni 8.5

Coca Cola Championship Game
Barnsley 3-1 Palace (Away)
Got off to a great start with a early goal from new signing Marlon Harewood but went downhill from there and now to start performing.

Great win and will give us a psychological advantage the next time against West Brom where we outclassed them all over the pitch.
