After a poll on the crystalpalace.com website Nacer Barazite has been named the Crystal Palace's 'Player Of The Month' and the 'Young Player Of The Month'.
Barazite chipped in with 2 goals and 4 assists in 7 appearances and producing a dazzling Man Of The Match performance against Nottingham Forest.
When told off the award Nacer said ' I'm honoured to pick up this award, I'm quite lucky to get these awards really as anyone in the squad could have picked this up as they've all been briliant this month and hopefully we can carry on into September.'
Palace manager was all to quick to jump on the Barazite bandwagon by saying' Nacer has been brilliant this month and where only in August so hopefully he can carry on and keep giving 5 star performances.'

Now the strikers are on fire with a 3rd successive 3-0 win with Viduka coming in and replacing Harewood and chipping in with a goal from a wonderful free kick. Scannell scored again just as i rejected a bid from Tottenham for him and Davids scored for the second game in a row. Could of easily lost the game but Julian Speroni made some spectacular saves.

What a result 1-0 after 5 minutes but rallied the team before half time and was then 2-1 up thanks to goals from Marlon Harewood and debutant Marcos Landiera scoring a screamer. Dreaming of a rout when Edgar Davids scored in the 50th minute but conceded soon after and was holding on from there.
