Cup Games Same Opposition as League Game

I thought this was just a coincidence on my last save happened in my 3rd season but I have just started a new game with southampton and it's happened again straight away.
League Cup Quarter final vs Everton and two days after league game against them.
After this my fa cup round is against Stoke and then I play Stoke in the league 3 days after.

Anybody had this happen to them?
I am not to bothered it doesn't make the save unplayable, I can just see this grinding on me if it keeps happening.

Never had it on FMA 15 yet, but it happens loads when I play FMH in one particular game I played Man Utd 8 times in 1 season

League

FA Cup
Champions League
Community Shield

4 of those games came in 1 month 1 League, 2 Leg League Cup Semi...

That is just one example of what happens a lot
