Cup ties

Hi all, i've got a big cup tie coming up, against higher opposition. I was woundering what sort of tactics people use when coming up in these games? And if they had any help for me?

I normally use a 4-2-3-1 (Deep) formation to give you an idea of what sort of players i have.
