Data Analyst - How to properly utilise in tactics?

When Data Analysts give reports before your next fixture about where and when goals are scored etc.

Is it as simple as say a team who have had majority of assists from out wide to set your team as "Wide" or "Fairly Wide"

Again teams who have a lot of assists from down the centre, set your team up as "Narrower" ?

Data Analyst reports is something I'm trying to use properly for the slight adjustments needed before the next match.

Does anyone have any good examples of how to properly take advantage of them?

FWIW, Wider and Narrower relates to your team IN possession, not out of possession, so that wouldn't work.
