i would go for youth recruitment or safe and sensible so you can build your way up making it more interesting

You can't win anything with kids!
Dave Bird has decided the best way for this club to progress is to invest in youth signings. Bird quoted, "I believe the best way for us to dominate is increase the facilities and invest in the best youth around the globe. Although it will be a long process the future of Betis will be strong and we will be able to compete with the big two."

Bird has already been linked with youngsters Ter Stegen and Luke Shaw who have been touted as possible signings. Bird wants to begin with choosing the signings himself but will leave all future transfers to Benitez. With youth key to Bird's plan, it rules out Benitez going back to signing former players Fernando Torres and Daniel Agger who were heavily linked with moves to Betis following Benitez's appointment.

Marque signing still on the cards
Although Bird sees youth as the way forward, he promises fans that he will spend up to £40 million acquiring a world class player. He wants to show Real Betis are the future of Spanish football and wants to make them stand out with a marque signing. Bird wants to know the fans opinion on who he should sign.

Who should Betis sign?

For the purpose of the history, you should try and buy Drogba, Sjneider, Kaká or any older former world class player

Signings made
Dave Bird has wasted no time investing his money into the club. He has brought in Ter Stegan for £12m and Luke Shaw for £5m from Gladbach and Southampton, respectively. He quoted, "These two will be the future of Betis and hopefully we can crack on with some more signings in the next couple of weeks."

Rooney to Betis?
Wayne Rooney has declared he is unhappy playing second fiddle to Van Persie and could move this summer. Bird is interested in signing the Manchester United striker and could table a bid of £40million to land him.
