It depends if you want him to be more defensively responsible, or attacking minded. If you want defense, I'd say tackling, marking, anticipation and positioning. If you want attacking, you'd want things like off the ball, pace, acceleration, work rate, and of course dribbling/crossing. Mix and match those for a guy who can do a few things.
