defensive help...

whats the best way to make a back four atm I have a cover defender and a stopper mind and two full back supports mind you im in the championship ive never really messed around with the defence just assumed that would do but atm people are just 1 2ing through me and also i have a dlp and ball winningfielder infront of them and 70% of the goals i concede are from outside the box any advice would be appreciated.

If you are using a stopper/cover partnership, then it is better to use a deeper defensive line with the offside trap off, because the arrangement of the centrebacks in the stopper/cover partnership don't make for a good offside line.

Are you using defensive or attacking tactics?

Can you show me the attributes of your defensive line? If your leaking goals through proper play or by set pieces? do you employ a high or deep line?

To me it sounds like you are using à formation without players in the DM- strata and possibly without enough players with defensive duties in the MC spots ( and without MRL, perhaps à 4231 ?) Am I right ?
