Good day to everyone, I just wanted to bring your attention/help to this incredibly difficult but engrossingly awesome PS3 exclusive, Demon's Souls...

Has anyone played it before? I have played it for over 12 hours already and have only killed the Phalanx demon (the 1st boss Demon you actually fight) I have gotten to another 2 bosses but have died miserably in my feable attempts as this game is by far the hardest game I have ever played in my life!

I had read alot about it before I bought it and all these people where saying how hard it is, I thought, ag they must be noobs and **** at RPG's as I love them, but I must say I am struggling.. It is such in intense and amazing game, it really should be given a shot by anyone who has a PS3 and is a fan of real RPG's as it has one dozens of awards and really is a must play!

I am thinking of starting over as I spent most of my souls I had accumulated on new Armour which ended up being worse than the armour I started off with.. so lost a lot of valuable hard to come by Souls... :)

I've got it. It's unbelievably difficult!!! I was like you in thinking folk must just be rubbish at this sort of game. That was until i'd played it for around 2 days straight and still not killed the 1st boss. Frustating!!
I put it on the back burner for a bit while i completed Assassins Creed and Fallout New Vegas but i'm defo heading back to give it another bash.

As for any tips/help....i'm probably not of mush use. :(
 
hahahaaha, nice dude :) you get killed and killed but it just makes you want to fark up the demon that killed you and be like "yeah *****, thats what you get" :P

going to start it again this weekend! still thinking which class to go? Knight I think is still the best! teach him some magic and you are all set! :)
 
hahaha, yeah, Dark Souls :) looks FARKING incredible once again! still have to finish this first! started my new game last night, chose the Knight again as he is good at close combat and starts off with decent stats for magic as well :) which is really needed!

made light work of the tutorial! in the Nexus now, going to play it over the weekend and next week and really give it horns! want to try and finish it asap so I can get my hands on Dark Souls :)
 
one of the most frustrating games i've ever played. i get so mad when playing that i often stop abruptly, don't play it for a week or two and then start again. only to repeat the same scene a couple of days later!
 
hahahha, it is frustrating at times but you have to be careful with every step you take, methodological in your approach and on the tip of your toes constantly! Take the time to learn the movement/attacks of the demons (this can only be done by dying and trying) make sure you upgrade your shields or weapons and especially your endurance and vitality!

Use the stone of ephereal eyes when in Soul form before fighting a boss! I only learnt about the Stone after completing like 3 stages (3 bosses) set out to explore the new area and accept that you will need to die about 3 or 4 times before giving it a real attempt! (I have not died in a while now but I used to do this) and learn the stage and learn from your mistakes!

how far are you into the game? I just beat the Leech demon in the 1st stage of the Valley of Defilement! already on the 3rd archstone of Boletaria and Stonefang tunnel, just completed the 1st stage in Shadow of Shrines as well!

accept that you willl die and that you need to soldier on! it is the best game that has ever been made, ever! :) dont not play it!
