because I needed a 1st choice keeper for £2m

go for simple tactics either 4-5-1 or attack 4-4-2, i would like to have a go with arsenal after i get bored with my current save. try:
gk and def use what you like. personally go buy de gea or alpheo (cba to check name spelling).

in 442 play with two wingers pushed up (move them back to normal if ahead and need to keep lead)
arshavin, vela, walcott, lansbury, nasri can all be used in these positions as well as van persie if needed.
will mean your cm might be harder to get first team place but have song diaby possebon as ball winners. and playmakers nasri, fabregas, wilshere and ramsey.
up front have chamakh and lukaku as target men and complete forwards vp vela, walcott. if your stretched up front use lukaku as complete forward.

451 is a most arsenal suited formation but means you can have more use from your cm as you drop song to dm and have fab/nasri/wiltshere/ramsey. this puts good creative players in the centre. but yeah think about trying that

I think you should try my Barca tactic
It worked for me with barca, and I think it will work with arsenal too
