Deus Ex Human Revolution

Oh you're there! I quick tranquilized everyone, then tossed an EMP at it. It fried, activated self destruct, and made a very sizable explosion, which may come in handy next time i see one surrounded by troops.

Icarus is good, excellent for when you are moving high up on roofs and you need a quick vertical escape, or to drop in otherwise hard to reach areas

Im not *there* now, but wasnt too long ago. Ive recently gone to the second phase of the game, just got to the hotel apartment of the guy sending signals if you know what I mean!

Around that robot I just avoided and crept around it and the guards. My best weapon is the cardboard box, super handy for getting a guards attention to lure him into a good kicking haha.

So pleased with the game though, as such a huge fan of the first (as I know you were too) I'm glad it plays like it does. Also loving that I can see some familiar characters names starting to pop up ;).

And a few Deus Ex 1 references "I know you've gone under alot of changes lately Jenson but your not a female, stay out of the womens toilets!" Ahhh, brought me back to sneaking around womens bogs as JC Denton :P

I'm guessing you pick up "smooth operator" a lot. I use bot domination because i like sneaking into conflict, though i avoid it when there are civilians around ;)

The game is excellent, really is. Did you pre order? there is a tasty exclusive mission in that. Haha the names, my heart actually jumped when i heard a few of them. Its back to its best. This is one franchise that actually deserves to be kept going

Haha I had a sly grin when I heard the names! Dont highlight if you dot want to know who I mean *(Manderly and Tong so far off the top of my head!)*

I did pre order, am I far off this mission? Im so glad they made this game feel like Deus Ex one, even with all the changes. This game actually makes me want to play my Xbox now, recently I've not gotten into a game properly. This one I'm keen to get back onto 10 mins after I turn it off!

OK keep your ears out on the news, maybe you'll be grinning again later on. That mission is a while off (about to do it now), but you will know because instead of having hints on the loading screen it will say thank you for pre ordering, wont say when because i dont want to give any story away

Honestly if you are loving the story where you are so far... just you see ;)

The conversations really surprised me at how well it works!

( Ive got the "Beat Sarif in an argument" achievement, and also talked my way inside the police station for the morgue mission, class! )

Deus Ex 1 had the best story in any game for me, this is following the same standards so far! The AI has impressed me too, you really have to think about your way around if you want to stay undetected.

Really love the level / area layouts too. If you find somthing hidden away you really feel like you have worked for it!

Definitely, lots of exploration to do. thats why i like icarus, going vertical is a great way to avoid detection, and when you can drop in from anywhere safely you find so many ways in

Since getting to the second section of the game I've seen ALOT of high areas that would be perfect for some Batman style **** lol. I think I have 3 upgrades to use at the monent so might spend 2 on the Icarus!

I love it when you spend a while trying to get to a hard area and your rewarded well (I found a Praxis kit just because I was just poking around seeing whats going on lol)

yeah i get around (and into buildings) via the roof. Love exploring, nothing is more fun than breaking into someones room and hacking their safe! That is a tasty section of the game, plenty to see and do there so take your time

Seems it mate, pretty overwhelming when I first started walking about. So big and loads happening it's hard to know where to start!

Is there anything better and KO'ing a guard and dragging his limp body into an air vent?!

Im so tempted to go Rambo somtimes though!

Haha, pick your moments going Rambo, can take less punishment than in Deus Ex 1

I still miss the DE1 death sequence though *dies, camera floats up looking at JCs corpse with dramatic music* haha.

I have to go out to the pub tonight and would rather get a good DE sesh in, first time in god knows how long that I'd pick Xbox over going out. Thats how good I think the game is!

Does anyone else miss The Illuminati ?

It's slightly distracting when you speak with the 'Man With No Name' voice. The only criticism I have is that you're sort of forced toward developing the Hacking side of character development as so much extra experience is gained from doing just that.

Great game.

Just ordered it today off Shopto.. Should have it tomorrow! :D

Got this today, have to say it looks class! I've never played any of the Deus Ex franchise, thanks for the recommendation Joe & Mike! I found that I was rubbish at hiding and pressed the wrong buttons a lot to start with (**** fifa and it's R2 sprint - I've thrown countless grenades accidently and been destroyed by the swats!). I'm getting better now though!

Had a quick go last night to have a mess about. Saved the game before I started ******* about though!

I refused to pay for some information off a bloke. He then tells me that I wont find out any other way "dont even think about trying to knock me out either, I dont keep that kind of information on me"

We will see about that.....CRACK, down he went. And to be fair to the bloke he didnt have any info on him. So I picked him up and lobbed him 40 feet off a roof top onto a police officer and then laughed. Alot. Then turned it off and went to the pub.

To the lad that said he found the game boring, I hope you have changed your opinion, or checked yourself into a clinic or somthing...

Having played 56 hours on it, I'm done.

Wow. Just wow.

Deus Ex Machina.

Ah right. Not many games these days where you can get so many hours out of a single player play through!

I'm going to get a few more hours in tonight, might KO that bloke and lob him again as it was so much fun last time!
