Probably gona sound like a **** lol but whats the difference between regens and newgens?

Nothing anymore. Regen is an outdated term - in earlier versions, after a player retired, they would be "regenerated" into the game as a youth player with similar nationality, skills, etc. Not sure what year it changed, but for quite a few versions now, players aren't regenerated but rather completely random youth players are generated. Hence the new term used - newgen.

I think this "newgen" system has been implemented since fm08, as far as I can recall correctly.

Because currently I'm still on fm11, cant see any "regen" but yeah as previous forumer said, more like "newgen". Youth with totally random stats, country, name, etc etc.
