what works better with a quick tempo. Direct or short passing. Opinions please.

Direct wouldn't it? If you use short like say Barcelona do then you would use a slow tempo with slow build up play I assume. I'd wait for someone like JP to answer this question or Kris as they are pretty good with tactics.

Usually its Quick tempo with direct passing,slow tempo with short passing.

That doesnt mean to say the opposite cant work though,Arsenal for example play short passing with a quicker tempo.

Hi i am sorry if this is in the wrong place but since you are someone who knows loads about tactics I wanted to know
how do I know if the opposition play wide or narrow and direct or short passing and quick or slow tempo etc

Please help I have asked so many people but no one answers

I scouted the opposition but it doesnt tell me about their passing style and tempo and width it only tells me about their players, formations and goal analysis but nothing about tempo and passing style and thanks for the reply
