Director of Football

Alrite all So I just got a Director of Football in Dover Athletic, What traits do I need to look out for when taking one on? and what are their purpose in the game??

May sound dumb but I just want to get my facts straight

Here is what I am looking for:
- Judging P/A & C/A
- Tactical knowledge
- Working with youngsters
- Mental

Most people prefer to do things self, as sports directors should be doing strange signings and contract. I must admit I don't really use mine. The sports director is just a way to reduce micromanage from SI I would think. You could get a guy who is good at judging P/A and C/A and put him as the guy who finds potential stars.
