Pros:
Can very occasionaly find a decent player you hadn't spotted.
Can be used to loan out or sell players in that don't have a future with you.
If you need another coach but have the maximum number of coaches, the DoF becomes a coach too (Not really sure why, doesn't happen like that irl :S)
Cons:
Wasted wages, often very high.
Normally agree deals to buy players that you could agree yourself for much less.
Often sell players you tell them to too cheap.
Don't really do much.

Another Pro is that it makes the game more realistic (IRL, most managers don't have as much of a say on transfers as we do on FM)

It sounds like that the Dof isn't much use! Well thanks for your help
My thoughts exactly! He can help get rid of a small bit of the workload by getting rid of unwanted players, but he rarely get's good prices for them, and that is about all he does! :S
