I have £8 million to spend and I need 1 Defensive Midfielder and have pretty much just started and have only signed Gervinho for 16 million.

Poli, Sissoko, Rodwell all cost a tad more than £8m but it's well worth using instalments as they are quality players, and all young with world class potential.

Fernando Gago isnt really a defensive mid, hes pretty useless for me.

Gattuso - Wages and age, he wont leave AC Milan.

Diarra - Wages and he won't leave Madrid in the first season..

Fernando Gago's preferred and best position is defensive midfielder and he did a good job for me in my Newcastle save. Mahamadou Diarra does leave in the first season as he is always on the transfer and loan list and he is quite cheap to get.

In the game DM is Gago's natural position

Diarra- I signed him for Rangers in the first season and I had a low wage budget .

Gattuso- It was just a thought as I really like him ...

Makoto Hasebe as a cheap option for 2.5 million.
Ognjen Vukojevic is a tank. Might be a tad expensive though.

I got M'Vila in one Villa game, didn't really make an instant impact, but Sissoko did in my other Villa game, so I'd go for Sissoko.

A lot of the good players I cant afford as the teams want more than I have :S



Well in the end the best player for under 8 million I could find was Arturo Vidal, I managed to get him for 7 million and he is my best DM now
