Newcastle fall to dominant Liverpool

Liverpool 1-0 Newcastle

Newcastle were completely dominated and outplayed today at Wembley, and could do nothing to stop a Steven Gerrard wonder goal in the second half.
"We couldn't play our game and we didn't let the play theirs. In all fairness, I think it was a fair result and they deserved to win this game. Well done to them, but we will be looking at the Europa League now for next season."
Newcastle qualified for the Europa League because Liverpool had already qualified for the Champions League by winning the Premiership.

Newcastle United hit by Premier League Fever

Newcastle United are looking to open up their Premiership season with a win against Wigan Athletic at St James' Park this afternoon. With some new signings in the match day squad, fans and pundits alike will be interested to see how they get on.

Will post my transfers shortly..

This is my transfers during the close season, fairly happy with them. Feedback will be appreciated

Got a take-over in first season, but not a load of money. Why you ask?

Dmf. Can I have a screenie of Steven Taylor if that is OK? Cheers. (H)

Wow, if I had that i'd have big big targets. Not Anton Ferdinand and Nigel Reo-Coker anyway :P

Suarez signs!

Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez has signed for Newcastle United for a fee of £12.25M. He was reportedly unhappy with the manager at Ajax and demanded a move so Feliciano pounced. It was reported that he was looking for another striker with European pedigree, and the 24 year old definately fits the bill.
With Andy Carroll nearing the exit, and Lee Trundle's retirement the signing of Suarez will bolster the attacking options the young Portuguese manager will have at his helm.

Manchester United vs Newcastle

Excellent month. Only downer is conceding 3 against Teplice, but it was a weaker team so I can live with it for now. With Suarez's arrival, the goals should start pouring in now. But, a difficult month coming up with Arsenal and Liverpool to face but hopefully we can rise to the challenge and get our revenge on Liverpool!

Su, Su Gutted!

Newcastle were left reeling tonight after Luis Suarez work permit application was turned down. With personal terms agreed and fees between the clubs sorted it seemed a mere formality that the striker, who has 31 International caps and 12 goals would get the work permit, but it was turned down and they were refused the right to appeal.

Anybody got any ideas why?
Also, any suggestions? Last day of window so need a very quick response!
