Do I need to change tactics?

I'm learning FM 2012 and am playing with my Milan at season 3. I've won the league the first two years with the attacking 4-3-3 strategy. However I always lost early in CL. And at the end of the second season I begun losing to just about everyone. Do I need to change tactics sometimes?

Now I've added Raikans new 4-3-3 and am leading league but lost horribly in the group phase of CL ( to standard liege!). Same old. Same old...

hey bud, use different tactics for home and away, even against certain types of formations, see which ones work against which and where

one loss is also not the end of the world bud
