Do opposition instructions over rule player instructions?

Hi,

Just wondering if there is a priority out of opposition instructions and player roles/instructions.

Say i have a DM and two CMs, if i set close down always on opposition CMs, but my DM is an Anchor and told to close down less, will he aggressively close down the opposition CMs?

It stacks, so the DM will be pretty much as he was.
