Does anyone know a successful 4-2-3-1 formation with an emphasis on wingers?

I am currently playing with Villarreal in 4-2-3-1 formation and at the start of the season it war very good but as the season kept going the results got worse ( we lost at home against Racing and Sporting, for example) and i noticed we played worse than at the start of the season. Now I'm trying to modify (a bit) my current formation but don't know how.....so.....hmmmmm.....help?

3) take the time to create your own tactic, its much more rewarding....

Trail and error is the biggest part of creating a tactic and minor tweaks only when you get it wrong. Also, cover your steps.. If you go too far away from what you're looking for, you may just lose it completely.
