Does deleting saved games speed up FM10?

I've used the search tool and can't find a suitable thread for my question, so what I want to know is if I delete some saved games to free up some space, does it speed up Football Manager 2010? Thanks

I don't think so unless you have about 20-30GB saved games. And then along with disc defrag it will speed up your entire machine just a bit.

Cheers, in the save game folder I've got 4.15GB so its not that much, might delete half though to try it out
