Does Fm 10 run by steam when you buy it in a shop

I want to know this because me and a mate might go 50/50 on a copy and i want to know can u install it on a number of pcs like before and not run it with the disc thanks.

My cousin copies disks of games and steam has made things easier as there is now no need for messy complicated codes.
