Does Offside count from Goal Kicks

Does Offside count from Goal Kicks in FM2010?

I've not seen it on the game myself, but there seem to be some particular rules on the game that dont seem to count, like how when balls are played back to the keeper and an opposition player (in an offside position) intercepts, its still ruled as offside.

This is something I've wondered since that German guy scored against the English in the World Cup.

No, you cannot be offside from a goal kick. Never had a GK kick it that far in-game, so I wouldn't know.

you cannot be offside from a goal kick. ive seen akinfeev pick out aguero and rooney from a booming goal kick and race away and score.

You can not be offside from...

1 - a goal kick.
2 - a throw in.
3 - a corner.
4 - if you are in your own half.
5 - If you are in line with the second last defender (always good to remember if you take it round the keeper and make a pass.)

If the keeper can hoof it that far and his striker can latch onto it he deserves a chance to score

Although in Fifa 10 I've been often given offside while in my own half. As we talk about this Crouch just scored from a Goal kick assist and Crouch comes on the telly in the Pringles advert

My player was out of pitch, was injured, he was at the opposition team's half's line, back of the keep and the goalkeeper, my player passed ,after then he came in and it didn't count as offside...

Also as you will no, if you pass the last defender, the offside line is you, meaning you can pass the ball to a team mate also past the last defender, providing he isnt ahead of you.

I recently had a goal kick and referee say offside.

Apparently the real rule is there isn't so referee should have shut up.
